Annual Giving

When we read news about a blockbuster gift made to a hospital or college or museum, it is often from a major foundation or large corporation. Sometimes it is from a single generous donor. Those gifts deserve the headlines but the fact is that most philanthropy comes in much smaller sums made by thousands of people.

 

Every gift to our hospital is important to us and many donors prefer to give to specific programs in which they have a special interest. Each gift helps Tufts Medical Center to further its mission but contributions that are made with no restrictions on their use are especially valuable.

 

Unrestricted funds make it possible for our hospital to address its greatest needs and to seize its greatest opportunities. Annual Giving to the Tufts Medical Center Fund is our biggest source of unrestricted support.

 

Many donors make gifts to the Tufts Medical Center Fund in honor of or in memory of family and friends. In addition, a gift to our Oliver Smith Fund gives patients and family members an opportunity to make a contribution in honor of a physician, nurse or other hospital employee.
